Stella Braves The Cold

2018 Dec 24

It was a few minutes past 8am Christmas Eve morning when Stella and I headed out. It was one of the coldest mornings yet this winter. The ground was hard as a rock, cold breeze from the NE and too many deer scents for Stella to check out.

  1. Wow! What a view you have. Stella sure gets around.... I wonder how much mileage she has on her LOL Every time I see all the photos of her walking the field...... I feel like I need a nap! LOL

  2. The GPS on my Garmin measures the walk to be .47 of a mile give or take a few tenths. She is easier to follow from hounds I've had in the past but is harder to walk with because she is more stubborn than any hound I've had in the past. :)

  3. Stella makes a great "fitness coach" for all that walking she makes you do LOL ;-)

  4. If speed is not a factor than it's a good workout and yes, she has me away from my computer desk on a regular basis. She does have her limits when the temps get to single digits. Too cold for her paws, and will turn around heading home.

  6. Thank you. I'm glad you enjoy the photos of the hounds. The blog is interesting to look back on, to see all the changes in life within clicks of a button. Merry Christmas to you too.
